2007/11/26 10:28:49 Union minister and prominent director Dasari Narayana Rao opened his mouth for the first time on the recent issue concerning megastar Chiranjeevi. Dasari said that some evil forces were out to malign Chiranjeevi and they are all out to stamp him out from entering politics.
Dasari said that some attempt is also being made to create a rift between him and Chiranjeevi. It is well known that Dasari is suspected to have played a big role in helping Srija and her husband when they were in Delhi. Dasari is believed to have provided them with not only shelter but also gave money and guided them in their court case.
Dasari’s role came in for much criticism from Chiranjeevi’s fans and even Chiranjeevi has been cold-shouldering Dasari for quite some time. The comments by Dasari are being seen as a move by him to mend the fence with Chranjeevi once again.

Dasari Narayana Rao celebrated his 62nd birthday at the Lalitha Kala Thoranam in Hyderabad on May 4. Chief Minister YS Rajashekar Reddy, Jayaprada, Jayasudha, Dsari Padma, DVS Raju, Cinare, Raghavendra Rao, Shekar Kammuala and others took art in the function.Dasari felicitated 108 producers on the occasion.
Dasari submitted a memorandum containing two wishes. He wanted the government to do away with allowing theater managements to raise the tickets of big hero films for the first two weeks. Dasari also asked the CM to waive the fees to be paid to Huda to the tune of 21 crores in connection with granting permission for construction of houses on 69 acres of land for film workers.
Chief Minister said that he would consider the request but said that it may not be possible to waive off the fees to be paid to Huda completely. He said that he may try and get a 20 percent waiver.

Union minister Dasari is known for saying one thing and doing something else. He also gets emotional and many times ends up making comments that are somewhat controversial and uncalled for.
Dasari is known to have assiduously wooed Chiranjeevi to enter politics. But Chiranjeevi resisted the pressure form Dasari all theses days.
Now Dasari has changed camps literally. With the possibility of Chiranjeevi forming his own political party gaining currency, Dasari has changed tracks.
At the audio release function of Okkamogadu, Dasari termed Balaiah as the true successor of late N T Rama Rao. And he made a speech to the effect that Balaiah would be the next chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Where does that leave megastar Chiranjeevi now?

Dasari Padma is dead

Dasari Padma wife of Dasari Narayana Rao passed away this morning. She breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the Yashoda hospital where she had been admitted on Tuesday.
Dasari Padma has been closely associated with the Telugu film industry but preferred to work from behind the scenes. She also produced some of the films that were directed by her husband. The film industry mourned the death of Dasari Padma.

Dasari Narayana Rao watched a special screening of Mahesh Babu’s Dookudu at Prasad Labs. Dasari congratulated the entire team of Dookdu for coming up with a fantastic film.
Dasari said that he enjoyed the film a lot and said that it was like having full meals. Dasari also said that Dookudu was a genuine big hit in recent times and the industry now needs many such big hits.

Here is a strange but interesting fact; Megastar Chiranjevi and Darsakarathna Dasari Narayana Rao have 148 films each to their credit. While Chiranjeevi has acted in 148 films so far, Dasari has directed a similar number of films so far.
But Dasari is sure to overtake Chiraneevi soon. The reason is obvious. Dasari has been dropped from the union cabinet recently and he is now ‘Out’ of politics by his own admission. So he has all the time in the world to make films once again.
On the other hand, Chiranjeevi is toying with the idea of launching his own political party. So he will soon be ‘In’ politics. As such, he may not get the time to act in films for quit some time. So Dasari is all set to beat Chiru to the magical number of 150 films soon.

Director Dasari Narayana Rao is now making the film Paramaveera Chakra with Balakrishna as hero.
It is understood that Dasari is pressurizing the producer of the film C Kalyan to give me more money. Kalyan is stumped as what Dasari is now demanding is more than the remuneration of Balakrishna for the film.

Dasari channel for self or for party?

The congress leaders say that the real aim of Dasari is not to push the congress party ideology thorough his channel but to push his own agenda and increase his clout as a media baron.
Dasari has big ambitions and wants to be known as the sole representative of his community. But there are far too many aspirants and groups within his community.
At best, Dasari can command the loyalty of one group and it would account to about 20 per cent of the people from his community. By launching his own TV channel, Dasari wants to increase his bargaining power among the other groups.

The fans of Balakrishna are livid. They have every reason to. Dasari came up with Paramaveera Chakra and the film is nothing short of a disaster. The old type story and direction are totally out of sync with the present generation youth.
Dasari made some memorable films but they were all in the seventies and eighties. Dasari is still caught in time warp and he is unable to come out. It may sound uncharitable but Dasari’s time is over and he would do well to realize this.

Dasari wanted to make the film with Mohan Babu but the actor declined the offer politely.

The case of the kidnap of Dasari Nayana Rao’s son Prabhu is turning into some sort of a suspense thriller.
The news first came to light when Dasari Prabhu’s wife Susheela gave a written complaint in the police station in Chittoor. She stated in her complaint that some unidentified persons entered their room in a lodge and took Prabhu away by force.
The relations between Prabhu and Susheela are anything but cordial. The two have even filed for divorce in court.
So it came as a surprise that the two actually checked into a lodge together. The relations between Dasari Prabu and his father Dasari Narayana Rao are also not very cordial. Dasari Narayana Rao severed all his relations with his son after he married against his wishes of his father.
Dasari Prabhu was traced in Chennai this afternoon. He came before the media and claimed that it was his wife Susheela who hatched the conspiracy and got him kidnapped. She is only after the property acquired by his father. Prabhu also claimed that his wife made him to sign some blank papers after making him fully drunk. Dasari Prabhu now wants to follow up his divorce case more forcefully.

He is now looking for a comeback into Tollywood after losing his post as a union minister. Chiru hand in Dasari ouster?

The rumours doing the rounds in political circles and elsewhere are all pointing towards this. There is some strong basis for this to. Chiranjeevi has slowly distanced himself away from Dasari voer a period of time. The two do not share cordial relations any longer.
The talk that Dasari helped Srija and Sirish when they ran away from home and got married has some truth in it. The two landed up in Delhi and Dasari is said to have provided them with accommodation, car for travel and also covered their expenses. They were spotted in Lodhi Gardens for most of the time. This naturally hurt Chiranjeevi a lot and considered this as a betrayal and backstabbing by Dasari.
Chiranjeevi is said to have expressed his anger in no uncertain terms. The congress party and chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy are trying to placate Chiru in all possible ways. They are ready to any length to please Chiru to try and see that he will drop his plans to launch a political party. YSR is reported to have used his clout with the high command and saw to it that Dasari was dropped. This is seen as a friendly overture by the congress party towards Chiranjeevi.
