A 28-year-old housewife committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling fan at her parents' residence in the Jubilee Hills police limits.
The deceased, Rajesh Vani, took the extreme step on Friday night. Vani came to her parents' house at Jawahar Nagar about three days ago due to her brother's death. On Friday, she went to her in-laws house to get her clothes. However, she was allegedly rebuked by her in-laws for staying in her parents' house for so long. She returned and committed suicide at her parents' house later in the night.
Jubilee Hills police are investigating the case. (INN)
2011/9/20 12:01:09 A 30-year-old woman committed suicide due to the alleged harassment by her husband.
According to police, the deceased Fahmida Fatima was married to Qamaruddin, a resident of AC Guards about 15 years ago. The couple had four children. However, Qamaruddin was harassing her seeking her permission to perform second marriage.
On Monday night Fahmida had an argument with her husband with his proposed second marriage and later committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling fan. Saifabad police are investigating the case. (INN)
2010/10/5 9:45:41 N. Venkateswara Rao, a film distributor in Guntur city commits suicide on Tuesday morning in his office at Bradipeta, Guntur. According to police information, he is supposed to buy the rights of Mahesh Babu’s latest film Kaleja, and he has arranged Rs.9.40 lakhs for this purpose. But, somehow the amount was stolen from his office two days ago. He even complained to the police about this theft and as usually he arrived to his office on Tuesday morning and commits suicide. During the primary investigation of the police it was learnt that ever since he lost the amount he was quite upset and very much depressed for failing to buy the Kaleja rights. However, police are investigating the case to find out whether there is any conspiracy behind his death.

She commits suicide while her mother Rani went to buy her some medicines from the near by medical shop. During the primary reports of police it is learnt that, Shobhana was quite in a depressed mood because of her ill health (She was ailing from Chicken Gunya) and her poor financial conditions due to lack of film offers. According to police, the girl - Keerti Priya, a native of Narasapuram in West Godavari district, was a third-year student in a private law college in the city. She committed suicide on Saturday night. The reasons that led her to take the extreme step are not yet known.

According to Raidurg police, the deceased, Sindhu Rani, was a software engineer. She was married to a software engineer Manikantha about four months ago. However, the girl was upset over the marriage as she wanted to go for higher studies.

2011/4/15 11:35:25 Leading Telugu news channels TV9 has flashed shocking news in its scrolling that states, Chinni Krishna has committed suicide today at his residence in Hyderabad. It states that, he shot himself with his revolver and died on the spot. A suicide note left beside him states that, he is committing suicide only because of his ill health and no one is responsible for his death. However, it is not clear whether Chinni Krishna is the cine story writer or some one else with the same name. Most probably, we may know about the identity and the actual reasons of his death in a few hours.
2011/10/2 11:32:29 An 18-year-old girl committed suicide by setting herself ablaze at her residence in the Hayathnagar police limits here on Sunday.
According to police, the deceased - Bhavani, an intermediate student, took the extreme step while she was alone at her residence. Her father Narasimha and his wife went out to participate in the pro-Telangana agitation in their locality.
Bhavani set herself ablaze by pouring kerosene after bolting the room from inside. She died on the spot. Although the police did not find any suicide note, she is believed to have committed suicide for being upset over the delay in formation of Telangana state. She has written Jai Telangana slogans on the walls of the room where she committed suicide.

2011/10/16 23:28:53 A 58-year-old man committed suicide by consuming poison reportedly due to the delay in formation of Telangana State.
The Jeedimetla police on Sunday found the body of Venkat Reddy, a resident of Begumpet, near Mahadevpur. He was a retired employee of IDPL. Police also found his bike near the body along with a note which says that he was committing suicide due to the delay in formation of Telangana.
Police shifted the body to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary for autopsy and started investigations. (INN)

The deceased Narasimhulu, a labourer, was a resident of Papireddy Nagar. According to police, he was married about a year ago, but nearly six months back his wife left him. However, police reportedly found a suicide note from his possession in which he claimed that he was ending his life for being upset over the delay in the formation of Telangana State.

According to Narsingi police, the girl - Radha Rani was an employee of a software company in Madhapur. She was in love with Sumit, an employee of a private company. On September 11, Radha's parents took the marriage proposal to Sumit's parents. However, Sumit's parents reportedly humiliated them while refusing the marriage proposal.
Upset over the development, Radha committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling fan at her residence in Hydershahkote near Gadwal on Sunday night. She also left behind a suicide note stating that Sumit, his friend Sunil and Sumit's parents were responsible for her death. Narsingi police is investigating the case. (INN)
2011/8/7 7:18:27 Apparently dismayed over the statement of Union Home Minister P Chidmabaram on Telangana in the Lok Sabha, an M Tech student hanged himself to death at his residence in Mandamarri town.
According to police, the incident took place late on Saturday, but came to light on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as R Srikanth, who was pursuing M Tech (Mechatronics) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTU-H).
According to the suicide note, purportedly written by him, Srikanth said that he was taking his life after being unable to bear the delay in formation of a separate Telangana state.
The M Tech student also urged the government to provide free education to all students in the region, in the suicide note.(INN)

The deceased - Sandeep Kumar was studying second year B Tech in a private engineering college. According to police, Sandeep was weak in his studies and developed a kind of inferiority complex by looking at other students. Once he was also referred to a psychiatrist who advised him not to take pressure of his studies.
However, on Friday morning, Sandeep committed suicide at his residence in Bhagwan Nagar near Kushaiguda. Police suspect that a complex that he was not good at studies might have driven him to take the extreme step. A case has been registered and further investigations are on. (INN)
2011/10/3 11:10:33 A 23-year-old student of a private college was found dead at a rented room where he was living for the past several months.
According to Amberpet police, the deceased Gopichand was pursuing studies for Chartered Accounts. He was a native of Guntur district and was living in a rented room in Amberpet Central Excise Colony. He is believed to have committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling about one week ago. However, it was only on Monday that the incident came to light after neighbours complained of foul smell emanating from the room.
The police with the help of local residents broke open the door and found Gopichand dead. Police also found a suicide note in which Gopichand said he was poor at studies and therefore, resorting to the extreme step. Further investigations are on. (INN)

Few months ago, while the T agitation was going in full swing, Osmania University student Srikanthachary has commits suicide by setting fire to himself in a public place. Then, all the TRS leaders and other political party leaders praised it as a great sacrifice in Telangana movement. Though, some people suspected the incident as pre planned sketch drawn by TRS party, TRS leaders condemns it stating that it’s the crooked thought of Andhra politicians.
However, the deceased Srikantachary’s mother Sankaramma made it clear that, TRS leader Kasam Satyanarayana is the man who encouraged her son to commit suicide for the sake of Telangana. On Thursday, she has arrived to the spot where her son commits suicide and started strike demanding justice for her. Speaking to the media she said, “It’s not only my son. There are hundreds and thousands of other students whom were trapped in the TRS influence. TRS is misguiding the students and makes them follow their path. During that course, it’s convincing the hot blooded students that sacrifices are necessary to get the statehood for Telangana and so are the suicides. When, I lost my only son for the sake of these crooked politicians then there is no meaning in my living. If, I don’t get justice, I will also commit suicide at this same place. I came to know that, TRS people are blaming me that I am demanding them for money to keep silent. They have used my son’s posters to win the elections. Yet, they blames me.”
This unexpected development shocked the TRS leadership. Immediately, they have stated that, “We understand her grief and how she feels for the death of her only son. She is speaking like that only because of the grief. But, at the same time we are condemning her allegations. We never encourage anyone to commit suicides for the cause. It’s wrong to say that she came to media demanding for money from us.”
Hyderabad police has rushed to the spot and taken her into their custody.
But, this incident leaves many questions for TRS to answer. Is TRS really encouraging the students to commit suicides to keep the fire live?
Is TRS encouraging the poor students to commit suicide offering their families huge amounts?
Is it proved in the police investigation that the students who commit suicides were not motivated by TRS and died on their own interest?
When, TRS is praising the deceased students as great warriors of their agitation, isn’t it encouraging the other students to follow their path?
Is it not a crime to encourage or motivate the students to commit suicide by praising the sacrifices of the students?
2011/10/9 11:58:27 A 32-year-old man committed by jumping from the Rajiv Gruha Kalpa building in the Dundigal police limits on Sunday morning.
The deceased was later identified as Seetharama Raju. According to Dundigal police, Raju was a resident of Telugu Talli Nagar and believed to have resorted to the extreme step due to financial problems.

2011/9/12 4:36:57 Anjali Gupta, the former Indian Air Force officer has committed suicide on Sunday in her residence at Bhopal. Police said she left no suicide note behind her giving any reasons for her act.
She is said to be quite upset with the court martial by IAF under the charges of seven counts ranging from indiscipline, insubordination to financial misappropriation. Anjali's problems began after she was posted to the 416 AF Station in Bangalore in November 2003.
Within two months of her joining her post in Bangalore, the woman officer had problems with the Commandant of the station, Air Commodore Anil Chopra, Chief Administrative Officer Wing Commander V.C.
Later, she tried to meet the present Air Chief in Delhi through an air marshal. Time was not granted but she was told that she was not to worry, "she is one among the officers of the IAF" and would be called at a later date. It is after this that she filed a writ petition in the Delhi High Court and got the Karnataka State Commission for Women involved.
IAF spokesman in Bangalore Wing Commander V.N. Raghunath said that 47 letters written by Anjali had been sealed by the court martial. However, he refused to divulge the contents of these letters.
Anjali's mother Uma Gupta speaking to media "The impression given out by the IAF is that Anjali always bypassed her immediate superiors in the unit. But, how could she have approached the same officers against whom she had a complaint? Even at the command level, she was turned away. The chief of air staff also did not meet her. Finally, when there was no option, she had to approach the court and other civilian agencies." Meanwhile, a court martial was constituted on April 2, 2005 though the IAF charge sheet—on seven counts.
Cases of harassment have gone up in the defence services in recent times. Says senior advocate Narendra Kaushik, who has been counsel in defense cases for over two decades: "In the last five years, cases of harassment have gone up 10 times. Someone dislikes somebody and the harassment begins.
Instead of taking her letters into consideration, IAF has court martialled and dismissed her from the duties, with which she went into depression and finally commits suicide on yesterday. (Source:OLI)
