He said " So far, Meera Jasmine has acted family woman roles through out her career. But, for the first time she is acting in heroine oriented movie, that too with a horror story. Her performance would be highlight of the movie. This film shows how a girl has faced odd experiences and how did she overcome them. Filmmaker Sathyan Anthikkad has roped in Meera Jasmine for his new film starring Mohanlal in the lead. Meera Jasmine was cast opposite Mohanlal for the first time in Rasathanthram, directed by Sathyan Anthikkad and produced by Anthony Perumbavoor.
The new film by Sathyan Anthikkad is also being produced by Anthony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirwaad Cinemas. This would be Meera Jasmine’s fourth film with Sathyan, who had earlier directed her in Vinodayatra, Achuvinte Amma and Rasathanthram.
Meera Jasmine has denied reports appeared in a section of vernacular media that she has entered wedlock with Mandolin player U Rajesh (brother of Mandolin U Shrinivas) in Tirupati recently. A section of media had carried reports that the actress married Rajesh in Tirupati Venkatachalapathy temple.

Meera Jasmine and director VR Prathap were at the receiving end of a bee attack this morning. The unit of the film ‘Gorintaku’ was in a small near village Mahabubnagar to shoot some key scenes. Many villagers rushed to the shooting spot and some youngsters even climbed the nearby trees to have a better view of the proceedings.
They inadvertently disturbed a big bee hive and the honeybees then attacked the unit members. Meera Jasmine and director VR Prathap were stung severely be the bees. Meera was rushed to a hospital for first aid. The shooting has been packed up for the day.

Marudhuri Raja is the dialogue writer and S A Rajkumar is the music director. The film will be completed in four schedules and the shooting will go on between the 18 and 31 of every month. Sindhu Menon, Rohith, Sayaji Shinde, Hema and others are in the star cast. C M Krishna is the producer.
